Daniel Murphy graduated with honours in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2004. He then completed a Master’s degree in International Relations in 2007, and finished his law degree at Toronto’s Osgoode Hall in 2010. He spent a year at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland studying in their L.L.M program.Daniel was called to the Bar in 2011. He practiced as an Assistant Crown Attorney from 2010 until 2012 where he conducted trials in both the provincial and superior courts of Newfoundland and Labrador. He conducted summary conviction appeals and was cited in a number of written decisions.

Daniel then became a partner in the law firm of Jewer, Murphy & Griffin where he practiced in family law, personal injury law with a particular focus in criminal defence. He appeared at all levels of court in this role.

In 2013 he opened his own office in Downtown Toronto and subsequently joined the criminal defence team of Ted Yoannou and Associates in 2014. He has practiced exclusively in the area of criminal defence and combines his experience both as a prosecutor and defence lawyer when approaching each case. He takes great pride in his ability to analyze and provide solutions to complex legal problems and strives to ensure each case is handled with care and respect.

Daniel currently works in association with the Toronto-based firm Ted Yoannou & Associates and is connected with an incredibly experienced team of criminal defence lawyers. He continues to represent clients throughout Ontario on a variety of charges.
